Film/TV: Kriss Kross, Phat Girlz, Hip-Hop Confidential, 20 Funerals, Freestyle, Going Hollywood

VH1's 5 part series 100 Greatest Kid Stars premiers tonight and, at some point, will include Kriss Kross.

Regan Morris of the NY Times looks at financing Phat Girlz, an independent film being produced by Robert Newmyer and directed by Nnegest Likké.

Hip-Hop Confidential, a music video show focused on hip hop and R&B, premiered last week on Fuse TV.

Big Boi of Outkast, Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz and Big Gipp are just some of the hip hop stars somehow involved with 20 Funerals, a film from KOCH Vision that went straight to dvd.

The documentary Freestyle: The Art of Rhyme, featuring such artists as Mos Def, Black Thought, Jurassic 5, Pharoahe Munch, Bahamadia, Planet Asia and The Last Poets, is now available on dvd.

Possibly more interesting than other reality shows, Going Hollywood will premier in the fall and focus on contestants trying to win an internship with one of three companies, including Method Man's Method Man Enterprises.
