It's 50's World, We're Just Hustlin' In It
I'd describe 50 Cent as the King of New York but I think he lives in Connecticut. Whatever, Nas crowned him King at Rock The Bells as far as I'm concerned.
Maybe he'll be crowned The Diplomat for his refusal to beef with Game though his dismissal of the necessity of responding to The Game's various outbursts is casually demeaning in a rather brutal fashion.
Maybe he'll be called The Writer since he can talk into a microphone for hack writers to transcribe and edit into an autobiography From Pieces to Weight. Which is not to say that he can't write since he is doing a book signing.
He certainly should be called The King of Repurposing since he's releasing a Special Edition of The Massacre on Sept. 6th that will include a video for every track plus at least one previously unreleased track. And, guess what? He's already released a video clip for Piggy Bank that makes fun of Fat Joe, Jadakiss, The Game and Nas. No beef there.
I like the videogame style animation that reminds me that 50 is the King of Crossmarketing with the autobiography From Pieces to Weight dropping August 9th, the Massacre re-release dropping September 6th, the videogame 50 Cent: Bulletproof dropping November 4th (?) and the somewhat autobiographical movie Get Rich Or Die Tryin' dropping sometime in December. What, nothing in October?
Oh, and Quincy Jones is composing the score for Get Rich Or Die Tryin' so there will be a tasty soundtrack for those Christmas stockings. Hey, you can peep an early trailer already!
You know, whether or not he's the King of New York, he's certainly the current King of MTV Media since they're involved with both the book and the movie as well as the promotion, I mean, news coverage.
