Kanye Countersued But Gold Digger Still No. 1

Though Kanye West’s Late Registration is no longer in the top 10 albums, Gold Digger featuring Jamie Foxx is now in week ten of its reign at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and inching closer to Mariah Carey’s claim to top single of the year for We Belong Together, which held no. 1 status for 14 weeks.

Gold Digger is also in week nine at the top of the Hot Ringtones chart and week eight at the top of the Pop 100. However, life is not all rosy for Kanye who is being countersued by a dj who was sued for attempting to release recordings of Kanye’s teen output.

In further Hot 100 news, The Black Eyed Peas’ My Humps remains in the top 10 at no. 3 while Nelly’s Grillz featuring Paul Wall, Ali & Gipp debuts at no. 84 and Lil’ Wayne’s Fireman debuts at no. 91.
