Though System Of A Down took the top position in the Billboard 200 albums chart for the second time this year, hip hop still made a stronger showing than in the previous week.
NOW! That’s What I Call Music, which includes multiple rap tracks, rose from no. 5 to no. 3 while the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ soundtrack rose from no. 4 to no. 5. Both albums had a strong increase in sales from the previous week, perhaps due to all those shoppers getting ready for Christmas.
They were joined in the top 10 by Juelz Santana’s What the Game’s Been Missing at no. 9 and Chamillionaire’s The Sound of Revenge at no. 10.
Nelly’s Sweatsuit entered the chart at no. 26 while Big Boi Presents… Got Purp? entered at no. 49.
