ProHipHop Relocating to North Carolina

That’s right, I’m not moving across town or over to the East Bay, I’m going back to Carolina. After moving to San Francisco in November of 2004, I launched ProHipHop and began a process of spending most of my available time at the computer, building ProHipHop, keeping netweed going and completing a Master of Library Science via a distance ed program.

My hard work throughout 2005 paid off and, not only have I finished my third graduate degree (thank you very much), but I can now devote myself fulltime to web publishing and related freelance activities. Yes, the author of ProHipHop is finally going all pro, all the time!

But this means I’ll continue to be the news and info geek, locked into a digital world which takes surprisingly little advantage of San Francisco’s social and business scene. Though I’ve made some great contacts in the Bay Area and there are projects that being here would facilitate, I’m opting for a quieter environment with cheaper rent and more trees while I strengthen and diversify the core services provided through ProHipHop and related projects.

I’ll post new contact info soon so, till then, hold those cards and letters. As always, my preferred mode of communication is email:

Thanks. It’s taking longer than planned but I’m looking forward to the move. Quieter outside, busier inside.

Do you at all deal with helping to personalize a CD and providing the needful tools to get a upcoming artist started.

  4. Clyde Smith says:

Raymond, I really don’t. Although, in addition to checking out ProHiphop, when you or whoever you’re working with are ready, you should make sure you send your press releases to Hip Hop Press:

They can be sent in an email, as an attachment or you can send a link if you post it at another online service or site:

    Best of luck!
