Since I'm taking a brief break, here's some stuff I'd probably have more to say about if I had the opportunity.

Lady Sov is coming and most of the hip hop press seems uninterested except for BallerStatus.net, but I haven't fully investigated the gaping silence. Also, though I feel her bad ass realness overshadows her whiteness, we will now be subjected to unending discussions regarding white female rappers.

The ever prickly Spike Lee explains why he prefers Barbershop over Get Rich or Die Tryin', though he doesn't really seem to like Barbershop either.

The Tupac Amaru Shakur Records Collection Act of 2005, a bill to create a Federal repository of all government records regarding Tupac Shakur, seems stalled indefinitely which should come as no surprise.
