Hip Hop at the Oscars, Ludacris & Three 6 Mafia

The nominees for Academy Awards include Oscar nominations related to two films with hip hop connections, Crash and Hustle & Flow.

With Ludacris in a sup porting role, Crash is up for 6 Academy Award nominations including Best Picture.  The Screen Actors Guild recently awarded Crash an Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Luda also appears in Hustle & Flow, which received two Oscar nominations including Best Actor for Terrence Howard and Best Original Song for Three 6 Mafia's It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp.

Looks like Luda will get his ticket to the Oscars after all.

Late last month both Crash and Hustle & Flow were included in the top films of 2005 by the African-American Film Critics Association.
