MC Hammer Blogs With Heart
Maybe I'm just a sucker but MC Hammer's blog offers a pretty meaningful experience, assuming he writes it. I hate the fact that so many blogs supposedly written by celebs are obviously ghost written to the degree that one just can't take it on face value that Hammer is writing this one. It's as bad as all those links showing up in news articles that aren't links to anything other than ads. These developments are debasing what's meaningful about blogging. Not that one should be surprised at such things but they don't make me happy.
Nevertheless, from the opening post entitled Art Of The Dance to a whole series of posts on breakfast with his son, this is a great way for Hammer to reintroduce himself and set the stage for a new album.
I know many will scoff and I probably will at some point, depending on my mood, but this is one of the best examples of celebrity blogging I've seen to date. It's also a great example of using a blog for marketing in a meaningful way.
I found Hammer's blog via Find A Blog.

Yep, I bigged up hammer's blog the day before findablog did.. way above average, and authentically bloggy, for a celeb blog.

I thought I'd seen it mentioned somewhere else, since I am stalking, I mean, tracking your blog via RSS. Glad to know other folks are appreciating what he's up to.

I bigged up Hammer's blog a day after findablog, which is two days after Jay Smooth, one day before Prohiphop.

I actually dreamed about those pictures of hammer and his child back in 1983 and they have been haunting me ever since. I'm happy to say that I can now nap in peace!
Actually, I'll take both of your words for it since it doesn't show up in the last month's rss feeds for hiphopmusic.com, hiphop-blogs.com or media chin-check. Are you sure that wasn't at a bar or something?

I see, Jay's is one line in the middle of a goth band post?? I wouldn't see that.
Hashim, I can't find it. Was it one of those headline thingies on your blog that most people don't read?
Or maybe a ghost written post somewhere?
In any case, good looking out!
