Pharrell, Nigo, Hoodies & Jewelry
Pharrell Williams really seems in his fashion element when focused on high priced, limited edition collections. Though Reebok didn't work out, Pharrell is part of the high end hoodie wave that I can't quite get the feel for with its colorful allover patterns.
Nigo said of related Bathing Ape offerings:
I wasn't thinking about appealing to the hip-hop market, although it is what I listen to and am influenced by . . . I think that the original inspiration for the look comes from luxury brands. Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Fendi monogram prints, which were only applied to luggage.
It will be interesting to see what happens when Pharrell goes really high end with jewelry designer Camille Miceli on a line for Louis Vuitton. Miceli says the collection is "going to be jewels with such scale, so large and of course very, very unique."
Agenda Inc. recently featured Curls custom made hoodies.
