If you receive newsletters from ProHipHop, Hip Hop Press, Holla at a Scholar!! or Hip Hop Logic, they’re now down for a second day.
It looks like last night’s Feedblitz run after the installation of new servers did not go so well for our newsletter provider. I’m sure they’re working very hard to address the situation but it’s unclear at present how soon they will return.
Since we’re on that topic, you might check Feedblitz’s blog to see how one Web 2.O’Reilly company handles their public image. If past examples count for anything, the above linked post explaining the situation will be removed after service is restore.
I’m not sure if that’s a widespread practice or not but I will say that, though I’ve seen companies remove individual posts after controversy erupts, this is the first Web 2.0 company whose blog I follow that routinely removes such posts in what I assume is an attempt to control their public image.
