ProHipHop Coverage & Analysis of Jay-Z's Cristal Boycott
I'll post more on this topic if circumstances warrant. The following posts reveal my unfolding response as well as some responses from the few people that seem to have something real to say, whether I agree with everything they say or not.
You know, I think it's quite reasonable for Jay-Z to no longer support Cristal, even if it was on the basis of 2 or 3 sentences taken out of context. What I'm finding increasingly ridiculous is the widespread perception that Jay-Z has somehow struck a revolutionary blow for black people. That's just silly. But it does help explain the general mess society is in if people think this passes for effective political action.
