Steve Stoute's Firm To Provide Guidance To General Motors

As a commenter on my post critiquing Steve Stoute's Online Self-Marketing reminds me, Steve Stoute and General Motors are in bed together, so to speak:

Translation Consultation & Brand Imaging, a New York City-based brand marketing firm headed by founder and Chief Creative Officer Steve Stoute, has aligned with General Motors Corp.

The company will provide strategic counsel and marketing communications guidance for Chevrolet and other GM vehicle brands in the U.S. on key projects as it helps expand GM's appeal to young, diverse, well-educated consumers living in key metropolitan markets in the US, particularly coastal markets.

creative genius....or pure con man?

i dunno. what i do know is, stoute has yet to deliver a creative stategy for any brand he's ever worked for. instead, he simply delivers celebrities and takes credit for campaigns he didn't create. expect more of the same with his new relationship with GM.

There do seem to be a lot of questions raised when I discuss this with people. Can't officially verify anything, though, and I'm trying not to make industry gossip the basis of what I write.

But that does seem to be the question of the day.

If this all is true Ms.Price should have some concerns. I would not like to be the messenger. LP has hopefully not sold her self out to a front man. Let's keep positive. Price had bills and not many choices maybe? After seeing the TYRA re-run of Mary, Jada and Lisa again it started to make me concerned.Again!
