Generation Y Marketing Blog Ypulse To Expand Operations

Great news from Ypulse, a blog by Anastasia Goodstein focused on Generation Y (whoever they might be) that’s expanding into a full-scale business. In fact, Goodstein left a nice position at Current TV to focus fulltime on Ypulse.

Here’s what she said about the decision:
After two years of growing Ypulse, I began to realize that it was becoming more than just a blog, it was becoming a community of professionals who are as passionate as I am about reaching this generation in a way that’s authentic vs. icky — a community of agency executives, teen magazine editors, television programmers, decison makers at brands, media planners, consultants, researchers, psychologists, youth ministers, youth workers at non-profits and even a few savvy teens. I want to take this virtual community and create more opportunities for people to connect online and in person.

Goodstein’s plans include "sponsored, networking events for teen media and marketing professionals", a "new blog aimed at parents of teens" and "tailored speaking presentations/workshops and consulting to companies who are looking for expertise in how to reach a teen audience".

To be honest, Goodstein doesn’t really say much about hip hop marketing per se, which is why I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned her blog before at ProHipHop.  Nevertheless, I think it’s a well done and consistently rich resource for following developments related to youth culture and marketing from someone who cares about something more than simply cashing in.

So Anastasia Goodstein gets an official ProHipHop congratulations on leveraging good work into more good work!
