50 Cent Sirius Commercial
I ran into the above 50 Cent promo for the Shade 45 channel on Sirius Satellite Radio recently. It’s old and boring but I thought you’d want to know.
In happier news, I was recently reminded that I hadn’t mentioned something new and exciting, Julien Smith’s podcast In Over Your Head is now broadcast on Sirius!
I should have congratulated Julien on that long ago.
Maybe if Sirius had focused on gathering more such talent, rather than spending millions for big stars, they’d be looking stronger right now. But I’m not up on satellite radio.
Any Sirius or XM listeners out there with an opinion on what you’re hearing?
Sirius is the shit for all the reasons they claim: 1)quality content 2) few commercials 3) variety in programming and 4) affordability.
That is not to say particular programs or channels are not without their challenges and problems. Sadly, the music programming on the two hip hop channels seems redundant…they’re playing more songs…more often.
Personally, I find Howard Stern worth the $12 per month and consider the NFL, Shade 45 and Playboy as frosting.
Actually, I pay my monthly fee so I can listen to commercial-free music.
Now I get ads? What am I paying for?
I think it’s stupid. False advertising.
Sirius has some really shameless plugs intertwined with their normal programming, but this 50-cent ad is a classic 30-second spot. WTF. >:O
