I managed to ignore the Grammy Awards until just a few minutes ago.  Now that I’ve been reminded that Rick Rubin’s been a bigger winner outside of hip hop, that Gnarls Barkley is alternative and that the South ruled rap in 2006, I’d like to point you to the official:

Update:
Since I mentioned the South ruling ’06, I should also point out that the 2006 eligibility year runs October 1, ’05 to September 30, ’06.  So Snoop, The Game, Fat Joe, Jay-Z and Nas were all left out.  With 50 Cent coming in the spring, the 2007 Grammys should be New York’s to lose, even with Lil Jon in the mix.
