EMI Is For Sale:

• The Warner Music Group is making another attempt at buying a struggling EMI Music. 
• As a pre-emptive move to gain European regulatory approval , WMG made an innovative deal with indie trade group IMPALA to guarantee their support of any merger.  Previously IMPALA had fought merger moves by Sony and BMG.
• Several investment firms are also said to be eying a bid for EMI.

Competing satellite broadcasters Sirius and XM have agreed to merge.

Apple settled its dispute with Cisco over the iPhone name…they’re sharing it.

The RIAA is going after another 15,000 college students from 25 colleges for illegal file sharing.
