Mark Cuban Advises Content Owners to Sp@m YouTube
I dig Mark Cuban and I appreciate his attempts to think outside of the box but his recommendation that content owners sp@m YouTube really kind of makes me sick. In general, his posts regarding YouTube miss the mark and position Cuban as a reactionary who does not understand social media.
Very disappointing.

In general I like the counter arguments Cuban has been making about YouTube. He's helped me to understand some of what the media execs are thinking about when it comes to maximizing the value of this content.
However, that last post about spamming YouTube was garbage. Spamming is the wrong way to manage a relationship with your audience.

That's the problem with the internet as it is. Fundamentaly the suggestion is, Saturate the current place with so much rubbish that you're forced to go elsewhere for real content.
Which is great for the real content provider. But in the attempt to make your brand worthwhile you decrease the other brands value - Its poor form moraly but its the world of marketing.
Shortterm it works, Long term it'll only go to devalue your own brand in my opinon.

My understanding is that the record labels and movie companies have been flooding P2P networks for years with fake files. And it's completely eliminated illegal filesharing!
Hasn't it?
