ProHipHop: The Future Emerges

My contributions will be a bit off this week.  I'm starting a job search for academic library positions most of which are scheduled to begin this summer or fall.  This decision will have major repercussions for ProHipHop's future, a future that I hope will involve a number of other writers.

Slav Kandyba's work at ProHipHop is a good example of how things will change.  His presence has already opened things up with his mix of journalistic experience and love of the hip hop publishing world. It's good to have him on board.

My assumption is that the next 6 to 8 months will have many rocky moments but will lead to a solid long-term base for ProHipHop and related projects because it will be far less dependent on my individual abilities and interests and far more capable of meeting the needs of ProHipHop's readers.
