50 Cent Album Delayed, Vitaminwater Commercial & News, Marketing w/50's House
50 Cent Vitaminwater Commercial
50 Cent's upcoming album Curtis has been rescheduled for a September release as an interesting campaign emerges including hosting a week of Rap City. I'll have much more to say on the campaign but how 'bout that Vitaminwater commercial?
In related hip hop news, Coca-Cola will acquire Glaceau, makers of Vitaminwater, with whom 50 Cent has a deep relationship as an investor and product creator/sponsor.

50 Pushed his CD Back? Is Interscope panicking that both singles aren't doing well on radio & the charts? It's even not a hit with IPod stores, so G-Unit maybe on it's last leg. Notice Young Buck & Lloyd Banks CD's flopped, let's not bring up Tony Yayo & Olivia CD. And it's odd The Game's "Doctor's Advocate" went No.1 & Platinum. Maybe not a bigger hit like "The Documentary" but it sold well and out sold every G-unit member. Was it karma that 50's biggest mistake was to kick out The Game from G-unit? Only time will tell.

I would disagree with that. I think G-Unit just hasn't put out the same level of quality they did out their outset. Also, they have put focus on other ventures, which has possibly compromised the appeal for the type of music they do.

50s a smart cat , especially when it comes to $$$.. he s seeing that he s not getting enough buzz from his singles which are meh whatever, so he's pushing it back. they would wanna brush up marketing/promotion on the global market i think thats where his album will sell.. anyway in america 50s haveing wayyy too many ppl hating him coz him and we ve seen g unit dead sales cmon i know record sales are going downside but from multiplat to down gold...damn g unit fallin off quickk

I really want to know more about what 50 actually gets out of the Glaceau deal. I can't find a good source yet on the 10% ownership figure that's floating around. That's a large percentage for it not to be coming up in business coverage of the deal.
From the outside, 50's dealings with Glaceau look smart all around but you have to consider the possibility that, because the party's involved probably won't release specific figures on who made what, floating a rumor that inflates 50's value would be a likely move and AllHipHop, for example, would be happy to run with it since they'd be getting it from an inside source.
Once published in an outlet like AllHipHop, such a "fact" would take on a life of its own, as we've seen so many times before.
