Donda West’s Raising Kanye Better Sell [Or It's All Kanye Will Rap About]

Donda West w/Karen Hunter – Raising Kanye

Raising Kanye: Life Lessons From the Mother of a Hip-Hop Superstar drops tomorrow and you know that if sales are poor Kanye’s going to take this as an attack on momma and it’s going to be even worse than when he didn’t win an award for that expensive Evel Knieval homage video.  Who knows, it might even be worse than Katrina, no disrespect intended.

So please buy the book [via this handy Amazon Affiliate link] so we don’t have to listen to Kanye cry for mommy all year.

We Regret to Announce:
Donda West, Kanye’s Mom, Passes

The fact that you are so dead on about Kanye’s potential reaction makes we want to launch an all out boycott of the book.
    Damn that Ye’.

  2. Slav says:

Mos Def’s mom’s got a book coming out too, I’m actually looking forward to reading that this summer.
On this one … umm, no thank you. There’s nothing that Ye’s mom can explain that Ye hasn’t in his lyrics (if one just listens, and I do). Perhaps she can overilluminate his overanalysis.

I think every one should run right out and buy the book and read it. It is a good read.

I can’t be sure, but “tatiana” and “haley” look like music marketing spammers to me.

Sure, you could be two kids sharing a computer but I’ve decided to move to a shoot first, sort things out later approach.
    More soon.

Here’s my idea to stop blog comments spam of this variety, if indeed that’s what’s happening:

i am eager to read the book. i am waiting until aug 25th to buy it in chicago when donda will be here for the signing of the book. i was a great part of kanye’s and donda’s lives for over 10 years. i have known him since he was 10 years old. therefore, i am looking to see how honest she is in her writings or did she embellish. after i read the book, i will get back at yall to let you know the real deal.

The above post was written prior to the passing of Donda West.
It only sounds insensitive in that context.
Because folks are overreacting, I’m closing comments on this one.
