ProHipHop, Hip Hop Press Schedule Updates

ProHipHop will be set on random for the coming week, due more to the arrival of my youngest brother than to the general festivities.

Hip Hop Press will be quiet Tuesday and Wednesday so please get your press releases in by Monday afternoon if needed:

On a sidenote, for those of you familiar with my interest in barbecue marketing, you'll be happy to note that, though my brother begins his journey in the empty regions of the Northeast, he's swooping in somewhere between here [Raleigh] and the mountains [Asheville, lol] and will arrive with barbecue in hand (or, better yet, in a container).

I'll be honest, I'm more of an Eastern barbecue fan myself but Western barbecue is fine by me.

Apologies to those who just say no to pork but, this is North Carolina, we're talking about pigs here.  For future reference, any unmarked usage of the term "barbecue", refers to barbecued pork from North Carolina.

All other uses, given their nonstandard frame of reference, will either be singled out as "beef brisket" (Texas barbecue), "barbecued chicken" (distinguished by sauce) or by cut/region/sauce.  Items barbecued without sauce will be termed "grilled", i.e. not barbecue.

And you thought my hip hop categories were complicated.  Barbecue taxonomy is so much more complex, my friend.  But if you don't know!

Love that pork.

Only thing that could interfere with an old fashion 7/4 barbeque is a wedding....

D'oh!
