Crank That (Soulja Boy) No. 2, Kanye West's Stronger No. 3

Soulja Boy's Crank That (Soulja Boy) rises to second place on the Hot 100 singles chart followed by Kanye West's Stronger in third.

Crank That is the fastest growing digital track while Stronger is no. 1 on the Hot Digital Songs chart.  Timbaland's The Way I Are tops the Pop 100 chart.

Top 10 Singles in the Hot 100:

1. Fergie - Big Girls Don't Cry
2. Soulja Boy - Crank That (Soulja Boy)
3. Kanye West - Stronger
4. Timbaland - The Way I Are feat. Keri Hilson
5. Sean Kingston - Beautiful Girls
6. Plain White T's - Hey There Delilah
7. T-Pain - Bartender feat. Akon
8. Fabolous - Make Me Better feat. Ne-Yo
9. Plies - Shawty feat. T-Pain
10. Rihanna - Umbrella feat. Jay-Z

50 Cent's I Get Money debuts in the Hot 100 at no. 85.

Speaking of 50 vs. Kanye vs. Kenny, Mr. Chesney is looking strong.  Not only has he already had a top single on the Hot Country Songs chart with Never Wanted Nothing More (now no. 3) but he's making a little chart history according to Billboard:

On Hot Country Songs, Kenny Chesney sets a new high debut threshold in the modern era and matches the all-time high bow on the list with "Don't Blink" at No. 16. The song tops the Nielsen BDS-era record set when Keith Urban's "Once in a Lifetime" opened at No. 17 in August 2006. It also matches Buck Owens' No. 16 start with "My Heart Skips a Beat" in March 1964.

Of course, those tracks aren't in the Hot 100 top 10 but I bet Kenny does a good job of mobilizing his base and album sales do work rather differently than singles.

? - Both Timbaland and Sean Kingston were listed as No. 5 in the above linked article.  I'll update.

I've been waiting on Ye's response almost like waiting on a bullied kid to finally fight back. Well Ye's response was less shocking but very effective in gettin his message across his ablum will be superior. Stating that "Get Money" is the only reason he decided to switch his release to Sept. 11th. Looks like Ye had more than some balls on this one smelling puzzy in all the flopping singles of 50. In another quote responding to 50 rudely interuppting and coming on stage uninvited while he and Jay Z were in the middle of performance.... Ye said it would have felt better if it was only Jay and him up there as planned. But what's more to be said really about this when it's obvious the so-called King of New York via sales only has to steal a moment. Now had that been Big he would have been invited out there. That's the difference folks when a rightful king sits the throne the people and the knights(Emcees) cow tow to him. But when an evil snitch, backstabbin, uncle tom takes the stage he feels compelled to continue to steal the spotlight from others to get noticed. There is no character to this guy 50 cent and his fans are blind to the real Curtis Jackson. Just to think how high was Bush's approval rating before the war in Iraq took a bad turn just like his homeboy 50's dayz of ruling are coming to a grateful end.
