Kanye West & 50 Cent to Appear on BET in Pretend Battle

Boy, Tuesday's going to be exciting:
On Tuesday, September 11, 2007, BET's 106 & PARK will host the lyrical Superbowl of the century! Hip-hop heavyweights, 50 Cent and Kanye West will join hosts Terrence and Rocsi on the release date of their latest albums, for the ultimate clash of the titans.

Going after sound scan's coveted #1 spot, both rappers will go mic to mic on the 106 stage with performances from each of their albums. Adding to the excitement, ESPN sports networks', Stuart Scott will be on board to deliver a statistical breakdown of the two rappers during the show. Anticipating their LIVE studio appearance, Kanye said, "How could I not come to 106 & PARK on the day my album comes out? I'm definitely coming." While, 50 commented, "Just make sure that Kanye West shows up."

That's right the LYRICAL SUPERBOWL OF THE CENTURY!!!

But don't get scurred:
Stephen Hill, SVP of BET's music programming and talent, thinks in the end, both men will come out on top.  "I don't think it's a battle, I think it's a lot of fun. I think Kanye will tell you he moved his date to 50's date to draw this type of attention, to create this marketing opportunity," he said. "We're gonna have fun on Sept. 11, the only place they are going to be together."

No one thinks it's a battle, Stephen, cause if there's no blood on the stage, there was no fight in the cage.

Nevertheless what a special day Tuesday will be!

When it comes down to Kanye vs. 50 Cent, I'm going with Kanye. He's just way more talented. There also seems to be a big difference in philosophy between the two. Kanye believes the key to a great album is great music whereas 50 seems to beleive its great marketing.

However Kanye seems to be doing somethings to hurt himself. For instance I did a blog over at Highbrid Nation where I talk about how Kanye refers to himself as feminine. Not a good look.
