XXL Presents: The Death of SCRATCH Magazine
Final Scratch Cover Featuring 50 Cent & Timbaland
SCRATCH Magazine says goodbye and smarter people than I suggest that the "XXL Presents" branding move and related editorial changes killed this one.
Update:
Eskay reminds us that he's no Bill Clinton:
It’s not a rumor. Scratch magazine has folded and issue #20 will be the last. So I hope all you purist snobs are happy. You didn’t buy it when it targeted you, then you screamed bloody murder when Wayne and Jeezy ended up on the cover. You didn’t know what you wanted, and now you have nothing.

Scratch Magazine To Relaunch With XXL Support

XXL takeover was a key factor but dude;3 pages of mixtape reviews, car spreads, fashion layouts and 1 to 2 paragraphs on gear reviews and tech tips was totally unexceptable. I wasn't expecting total access to producers formulas but, nothing on patch bays, hot modules(Mo Phatt etc.)compressors.No wonder newbies believe Fruity Loops alone makes you a hot producer. I was about to jump ship any how and subscribe to more indepth mag like Remix and Future Music.
