After many long years that apparently contained some serious self-doubt and artistic soul searching, Rage Against The Machine’s Zack De La Rocha has completed the solo album he’s been working on since first leaving RATM in 2000.
According to Billboard:
Sources familiar with the album say it features De La Rocha playing keyboards and that the sound is a hybrid of "Led Zeppelin and Dr. Dre. Some of it has the power you’d expect from him in Rage."…De La Rocha is understood to be unsigned and mulling offers for how to best distribute the album.
Post-Rage, De La Rocha has recorded material with DJ Shadow, Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and the Roots’ ?uestlove, but it is unknown if any of these tracks appear on the finished album. One song with Reznor, "We Want It All," appears on the 2004 compilation "Songs and Artists that Inspired Fahrenheit 9/11."
I’m quite curious about what he’s bringing out. I loved Rage Against The Machine and haven’t been that happy with anything I’ve heard out of that crew since the breakup. I’m not hoping for anything quite as good but it will be worth checking out.

what?! man I hope this doesn’t get shelved! I been waiting for years for a collabo like this since I heard the CIA track with KRS and Last Emperor
not a collabo but u know what i mean… my bad
Where can I get a copy of this cd?Whats the name of it?I MUST GET A COPY!!!
Haven’t heard a title but he doesn’t have a deal in place so it’s not out yet. I’m sure you’ll see tons of news when it’s available.
