Pam Pinnock – The Father Fracture
Celebrity publicist Pam Pinnock, whose clients have included Jay-Z and Ludacris, has written a memoir titled The Father Fracture focused on the effects of her father’s abusive treatment and the relationships that followed. The book is being released in October because October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Best of luck to Ms. Pinnock in what is no doubt a difficult process of self-revelation.
This was an incredible book. I was not going to get this book especially after I saw on an entertainment report that the author is friends with Karrine Steffans-The video vixen.. Then I heard her on a radio interview in my home town and she explained that she was not friends with Karrine but that she had only met her once. So I was still skeptical but then later I heard that in this book it talks about how Mike Tyson broke into his ex-wife Robin Givens house and stole her dirty panties. I must admit I ran out and got the book just to see how sick Mike really was. As I read the book I started to feel the authors pain and I also began to relate to her. She was in a seriously abusive situation with several famous men. Laila Ali the famous woman boxers husband once one of the men Pam dated. I think the book is really important too for men to read because she also talks about her father and how his not being in her life really damaged her growth as a young girl. The book is definitely a good read. I wonder if she is working on another one because in the book she was talking about a famous artist that she was in love with but couldnt date because he was on drugs really bad. I bet she is going to write another one and reveal him. I guess since she is a publicist and works with a lot of artist it is going to come out somehow
Wow, I thought I was the only one feeling this book. I read it and it blew me away too. I’ve always wanted to be a publicist and after I saw the book and it said Pam Pinnock was a publicist I bought it. I read it in a few days she and Mike Tyson did some things in prison that I was mad crazy. Her picture is on the front of the book but she doesn’t look like the type that would do some of the things she did. I guess when a woman loves a man the way she loved Mike you lose yourself in the moment. The only thing that made me mad is that she never said who the guy was she was married too. Obviously he was famous or had a lot of money because that was the only type men she dated. Does anyone know who he is??
