RIAA Beats Jammie Thomas in 1st Consumer P2P Trial

Billboard reports that the RIAA won their first legal challenge to the ongoing filesharing suits that are driving everyone nuts:
The jury…awarded the labels $9,250 per recording, finding that Thomas willfully infringed the labels’ recordings.
