Small Eyez & Soul Stirrer are 2Morrow
I'd been reading Che Sing The Cool for a while before finding out that Small Eyez is also a rapper. Recently Small Eyez and Soul Stirrer released an ep titled Small Eyez & Soul Stirrer are 2Morrow presented by DJ Jamad.
Small Eyez - Blink
That's when I also found out about Small Eyez' earlier video for the single Blink which i like quite a bit.
Best of luck to Small Eyez and all blogging/musician/bloggers!

Lee Resnick was recently profiled on SOHH's Player Watch with a special focus on his Urban Barbershop DVD network:
With mixtapes becoming a less reliable tool, Lee conceived a line of DVD's created specifically for barbershop audiences.
"There were a lot of great videos that you would never see, so I created this network of barbershops, 350 barbershops in 36 states... I do monthly compilations hosted by artists, send them to my barbershops and they play them. They reach 360,000 viewers a month and I gather feedback that goes back to the labels," Resnick explained.
Hosted by celebs including Dipset capo Jim Jones and Jets running back Thomas Jones, Resnick's DVDs often introduce newer artists to audiences outside their region for the first time.
Zwinky Party f/Jason Fox & Lil Mama
Avatar creator turned social network Zwinky has enlisted Lil Mama and Jason Fox for a commercial that will run both online and on television.
From Adweek:
A new in-house-created spot breaking next week is again emphasizing the customization theme, but also tries to position Zwinky as the go-to virtual environment for teens (particularly girls) interested in fashion and music to meet and interact. The tagline urges viewers to "Join the party."
IAC enlisted the services of up-and-coming pop stars Lil Mama and Jason Fox to perform in the animated commercial, which shows cartoonish Zwinky avatars. Both artists have held events in the virtual world, and 50 Cent is opening a lounge there, where users can listen to samples of his music and order his upcoming album, Curtis. Some events, such as one held in conjunction with Live Earth last month, draw up to 250,000 participants, Garrell said. Like other virtual worlds, Zwinktopia has its own currency, Z-Bucks, which enable residents to buy virtual and eventually real-life goods.
IAC will run the commercials throughout the month on NBC during daytime programming favored by teen girls, such as the daytime soaps Passions and Days of Our Lives. The work will run 26 times, in 15- and 30-second versions.
Special thanks to Jeff Cambron at Attention PR whose informative email, presumably on Zwinky's behalf, provided the primary components of this post.

tPC: the People's Choice - Smokers Delight
I initially got to know J. Space via his comments here at ProHipHop and those somehow led to a guest post regarding his group tPC's online mixtape marketing that was soon followed by Smokers Delight, a video I posted over at VidRap.
Recently, tPC signed a distribution deal with Perspective Music and subsequently released their first album, A Long Story Short, via digital outlets including iTunes and eMusic.
Congratulations and best of luck!

On the one hand, I'm sympathetic to those who are feeling 9th Wonder's comments about fans being fascinated by stats and the effects of such fascination on the art of music.
On the other hand, who's to tell fans what to enjoy? They're the fans so they should define their fandom as they will.
One has to wonder if 9th Wonder would be so concerned about stats if Little Brother had sold more records. One also has to wonder how you would get guys to not ruin something with stats. I mean, it's almost impossible to have a good discussion about sports without having to listen to this or that litany of numbers that are ultimately beside the point.
Given that hip hop is incredibly male dominated, it should be no surprise that a stats aspect would emerge that seems irrelevant to one's appreciation or not of a piece of music.
Strong Arm Steady - Deep Hearted Promo
Here's a nice 32 second spot for Strong Arm Steady's Deep Hearted that gets straight to the point.
Kanye West's Stronger moves up from no. 47 to no. 6 in its "first full week of sales" on the Hot 100 singles chart. Given 50 Cent's poor singles performance, one wonders what the future portends for Kanye vs. Curtis, September 11th, 2007.
Top 10 Singles on the Hot 100:
1. Sean Kingston - Beautiful Girls
2. Fergie - Big Girls Don't Cry
3. Plain White T's - Hey There Delilah

8. Hurricane Chris - A Bay Bay
9. Fabolous - Make Me Better feat. Ne-Yo
10. Shop Boyz - Party Like a Rockstar
The Shop Boyz' Party Like a Rockstar enters week 11 still in the top 10 at no. 10.
Common scores his first number 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart with Finding Forever, though selling less than Be which only made it to the second position.
Top 10 Albums on the Billboard 200:
1. Common - Finding Forever
2. Korn - Untitled
3. NOW! That's What I Call Music 25

6. Sean Kingston - Sean Kingston
7. Kidz Bop 12
8. T.I. - T.I. vs. T.I.P.
