TVT Records Bankruptcy: Steve Gottlieb Talks to Billboard
Steve Gottlieb says: "This is not the end of TVT."
Gottlieb also says TVT Music Publishing will not be closed.
It's unclear what will happen to Lil Jon's Crunk Rock but "a source close to the situation" revealed that Pitbull's single Anthem may get worked to radio and the video has been shot plus Ying Yang Twins have a single, Drop, out on iTunes.
A source also says:
"Yo Gotti is a prime candidate as a free agent to go...He's done his part as an artist, and although he's a little under the radar and people in New York don't know him that well, other majors like maybe Def Jam or Universal, whom he had a previous deal with, might want to pick him up."
Mr. or Ms. "a source" revealed that TVT Music Publishing:
"hasn't had layoffs...People have left and they haven't hired new replacements, but everyone I know in publishing as of yesterday is still working. Although, the people still remaining are just there to fill orders and deal with overdue accounts payable."
Best of luck everybody. Start your blog now rather than later!
