Flobots – Fight With Tools
Flobots’ Fight With Tools is due May 20th from Universal Republic.
Flobots, a Denver based band mixing rap and rock, were only recently signed to Universal Republic but their debut album was ready to go.
As guitarist Andy Guerrero stated, "We got a very progressive record deal…It’s allowed us to be full-time activists and musicians, which is pretty amazing."
Flobots’ activist energies will help fuel Flobots.org:
After being inspired by young people during performances at schools and local peace organizations, members of the Denver-based band Flobots decided to create a non-profit entity that would demonstrate the ability of bands to use their platform to promote civic engagement and social change.
In addition to their outstanding work with flobots.org, the folks in the Flobots spent most of the electoral campaign working with Rock the Vote, a move that probably helped to raise the youth vote numbers this year. Check out the video here:
