50 Cent Claims Anger at Taco Bell Proposal

I simply couldn't believe that the Taco Bell/50 Cent name change request was anything other than a planned stunt between Taco Bell and 50 Cent because why would anybody in a corporate setting expose themselves to possible abuse from a volatile figure whose bottom line is quite harsh?

But now 50 Cent's acting mad so maybe I gave Taco Bell too much credit.

Described as a "sleazy and ill-conceived stunt by Taco Bell's president, Greg Creed" in a statement from a "rep", 50 Cent is said to have added that he would respond legally:

"When my legal team is finished with them, Taco Bell is going to have a new corporate slogan: 'We messed with the bull and got the horns'."

Either this is a complicated put on or Greg Creed is an idiot with idiot advisers.  But if they really made this offer public without talking to 50 Cent's management first and then low balled 50 with a $10k offer, it's not surprising that he's unhappy with the situation.

With a new G-Unit album on the way, 50 seems likely to milk this for all it's worth which could be quite damaging for Taco Bell.
