Applications are now being accepted for the 2008 Red Bull Big Tune beat battle:
"Over the next seven months, Red Bull Big Tune will embark on its second national tour travelling the U.S. in search of the producer with the next 'Big Tune.' Beat makers and sound providers can apply online to compete in regional battles in Philadelphia, Oakland, Houston, Chicago, Detroit, Seattle, Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles, Calif..."
"Two winners from each regional qualifier will advance to the national finals in New York this December. Along with bragging rights and custom studio equipment, the national Red Bull Big Tune champion will be given the opportunity to work with a recording artist of their choice at Red Bull Studios in Santa Monica, Calif."

Sex-less is a promotional MC Battle sponsored by RebelCityMusic.com, Authentic, Two.One.Five., and Peace and Love and hosted by Philadelphia artists, Selina Carrera and Hezekiah. All companies are joining with The Peace and Love Movement to promote nonviolence in the Philadelphia area. One of the most serious acts of violence one can do to the body is to abuse it sexually. The companies are using this hip hop battle to promote safe sex and more prevalent sexual awareness.
There are only seven openings left. It is only ten dollars to enter the battle. The best MC, male or female, wins amazing prizes as well as chances for further exposure. These include a generous cash prize, a chance to perform at the Philadelphia Peace and Love Tee-Party (fundraiser) and the next RebelCityMusic.com showcase. The winner will also receive a free studio session.
For all guests, only five dollars provides access to food, drink, prizes, and an incredible amount of fun. It also provides Nike, Akademics, and RebelCityMusic.com giveaways. After the event, DJ Victoria from New York City will provide the after-party sounds until 2 am.
