Saigon Stoops to Dissing the South

Saigon has apparently decided to focus on his regional rap career as noted by his ridiculous comments regarding the South:

"Arriving from a recent show in China, Saigon came on to DJ Kay Slay's Shade 45 radio show...announcing, 'My sh*t is 10 times better than all that,' when referring to up-and-coming albums from a handful of rappers (namely Lil Wayne)..."

"Sure to make some rap listeners turn the other cheek, the discussion turned a bit questionable as Saigon commented on the south's presence in the Hip Hop community. "'t's funny though, someone was like 'you trying to sound like a south n*gga.' I'm like, ain't they biting by just rapping period? How you gonna say I'm biting when ya'll n*gga's is rapping? This is us, what the f*ck are y'all rapping for?'"

He also big ups Papoose.  I hear all of New York's waiting for that album.

The deal is, New York artists that were doing well dissed the South when Southern artists started charting without their cosign.  But, after a while, the people up North who had decent careers mostly stopped dissing the South.

Now most of the folks dissing the South seem to either be on the downside of their music career, like 50 Cent who's clearly peaked musically, or have a very troubled relationship with the music industry, like Saigon.

I don't know how this talk plays in New York, but there's nothing weaker looking from outside the Boroughs than a New York rapper rambling on about how much better he is than Lil Wayne.
