Though dissing the South has become a sign of weakness in hip hop, dissing the old will never go away, as Soulja Boy reminds us with his video response to Ice T.

And even though I’m almost as old as Ice T and do have issues with ageist dummies, I can’t get mad at Soulja Boy for this approach that served him so well when dismissing GZA and should serve him well against Ice T.  Cause, when all is said and done, I’m planning to stick around long enough to watch Soulja Boy get old and have the same thing pulled on him!

It’s going to be even more fun than watching how quickly young hip hop bloggers get old.  And they do age fast.

Note: Soulja Boy really wins when he gets serious at the end of the above linked video.  And he seems to have impressed a number of bloggers with that move.  Nice work!
