Brand Estelle: Female Version of Jay-Z?

Apparently Estelle's American Boy has been sampled during Jay-Z's live tour and, when interviewed by the UK's Mirror, she said she is the "female version of Jay-Z."

Can anybody explain to me what the heck she's talking about and/or why that would be a good branding move?

To be honest, from the few public statements of Estelle's that I've noticed, she sure seems to express herself a lot more like Kanye than like Jay-Z.
