ProHipHop Issues Headline Pun Apology

I slipped majorly recently with two headlines, one referring to Snoop’s business in India as "Snoop Goes Bollywood" and the other referring to Rick Ross’ history as "Rick Ross’ Paper Trail".

Obviously the first was the worst of the two and I apologize for breaking ProHipHip’s Style Guide and inserting puns in my headlines.

I mostly just don’t like them, especially when used in mainstream journalism, and that’s why they’re banned but seeing the accumulation of "Snoop Goes Bollywood" headlines by all us clever writers at blogs, hip hop news sites and mainstream journalism outlets across the country is reason enough never to do it again.

The Paper Trail reference I may have picked up from Eskay.  I typically don’t read other blogs until after I’ve gone through news and press releases and done my initial posts.  But when I saw his post later in the day, it rang a bell and made me realize that I needed to rewrite both headlines, whatever their actual inspiration.
