Sandy "Pepa" Denton - Let's Talk About Pep

Sandy "Pepa" Denton's Let's Talk About Pep, written with Karen Hunter, is out today from VH1:

"The very thing that got me into Salt-N-Pepa -- going with the flow and doing what I was told -- was the same thing that got me in a lot of bad situations. Being a chameleon or just going with whatever wasn't good for me. It allowed me to put up with things I shouldn't have put up with. It allowed me to be with people I should not have been with because I wasn't able to just be myself and say no or walk away. It never let me ask, 'What do I want out of life?' It never allowed me to really think about me and my needs first."

Pepa's launched an accompanying social network/fan club powered by Connect Platform.

Was there a bestselling rap/R&B tellall book recently that I missed? It seems like this is 4-5 expose memoirs within the space of a month from female authors...where did all these book contracts come from?

Clyde Smith

I think it's the chickens coming home to roost!

La Tania

I think it's great that Pepa came out of the closet about her abusive relationship with the men's in her life. Pepa makes salt look like a lair, because Pepa was going through some thing in her life, but she didn't leave salt hanging.
