50 Cent's Newest Tactic: Swagger Jacking Eminem

50 Cent's renewed attack on Kanye West is tired but it sure gave 50 Cent a lot of press. Still, it simply reminds me that he's a loser.

That said, I'm impressed by 50's audacious move to benefit from public interest in the possible return of Eminem.  Random example:
50 Cent: 'Eminem To Make Long Awaited Comeback Imminently'

Talk about Life on Ski Mask Way!

We'll see how all this goes but between his considerable prowess at making news, his appearance in a Robert De Niro/Al Pacino movie and all his other highly visible activities, like relaunching G Unit clothing, 50 Cent can't blame bad sales on lack of media attention.

So, when one finally reaches the outer limits of what marketing can accomplish, limits that are most apparent when the tide of popularity is receding, the question arises:

Can 50 Cent still make compelling music beyond an occasional single?

"still"?

Did I miss some introspective & lyrical phase of his career?

Yeti

He just seems more and more desperate for attention since he knows his music really can't live up to his claims. I'm not a hater but I'm also not a stan.

I'm a fan of good music though and his last two albums have been garbage. If it didn't have the 50 Cent name, those albums would never have been released.

Clyde Smith

Justin, I said compelling, not introspective or lyrical.

Some of his music caught and held my attention in a forceful way.

Justin Boland

Cool. I'll ask some friends for a "Best Of" -- I was wrong about Kool Keith and Joe Buddens, too. Thanks for the heads-up.
