Albums: Nelly Debuts at #3, DJ Khaled at #7
Nelly's Brass Knuckles debuts at no. 3 on the Billboard 200 album chart with what must be disappointing sales while DJ Khaled's We Global debuts at no. 7, his top position to date.
Young Jeezy's The Recession drops to no. 6, Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III to no. 9 and The Game's LAX to no. 10.
Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III enters its 15th week in the top ten.
Top 10 Albums on the Billboard 200:
1. Metallica - Death Magnetic
2. Ne-Yo - Year of the Gentleman
3. Nelly - Brass Knuckles
4. Kid Rock - Rock N Roll Jesus
5. Darius Rucker - Learn To Live
6. Young Jeezy - The Recession
7. DJ Khaled - We Global
8. Buckcherry - Black Butterfly
9. Lil Wayne - Tha Carter III
10. The Game - LAX
On an interesting sidenote, Darius Rucker's Learn To Live also debuts at no. 1 on Top Country Albums. I haven't heard any of this album but I assume he's doing real country music which makes him the first serious black country musician that's done well since Charley Pride as far as I know. Cowboy Troy seems to have settled for novelty status and has yet to truly succeed while Rucker was already well established with Hootie & the Blowfish.
Big ups to Rucker for what probably appeared to many as an impossible crossover dream.
