There’s no Raleigh-Durham.  There’s no Raleigh/Durham.  There’s only Raleigh and Durham.

Every time I see these two jammed together because we are or have been treated as a statistical unit by certain sectors of the U.S. government, it’s misleading and often stupid.

Our boundaries don’t connect.  Our politicians don’t work together.  Our citizens know they live in Raleigh or Durham.  Nobody here says Raleigh-Durham.

If you’re going to do business here.  Learn that.

If you want to look like you don’t belong here, just keeping writing about Raleigh-Durham, a fictional town that doesn’t exist.
