Jeb Bishop, Harris Eisenstadt, Jason Roebke – Tiebreaker

Writing about jazz and old-timers reminded me of an old friend, Jeb Bishop, who manages to be a fine musician and a fine human being at the same time.

Though I haven’t heard this latest album, Tiebreaker with Harris Eisenstadt and Jason Roebke, it’s said to be a live set recorded in Krakow, Poland in 2006.

If you’ve had a hankering for improvisational trombone, I’d definitely recommend checking Jeb out.  Experiments in rock?  Seek the Angels of Epistemology.  Seriously.

    howdy Clyde,
My egotistical Google Alert tipped me off to this — thanks for the kind words, see you in town sometime!
By the way, that trio is returning to Poland (as well as Austria and Switzerland) very shortly for a few concerts …

    Nice monitoring job!
I look forward to our next meeting.
