I was hoping for a little peace and quiet around ProHipHop World Headquarters, now that my Christmas shopping is done and the basic version of Hip Hop PR Wire has launched, so that I could get back into the ProHipHop posting groove and catch up on what are now literally thousands of blog posts by relevant bloggers awaiting my attention.
It would help if some of the better hip hop bloggers would take a serious Christmas break while I get back up to speed but that’s crazy talk!
Tomorrow TypePad switches or starts switching the final accounts over to their new system. That may mean some design chaos at ProHipHop and at some of the other blogs that I’ve been hosting on TypePad bringing some short term pain and confusion for old Clyde.
However, by the New Year, this should resolve some longstanding issues for ProHipHop, like the lack of pagination, and get all my TypePad hosted projects’ code up to date. And that’s all very much to the good.
2008 has been a very strange year in the world of ProHipHop with lots of wrong turns and disappointments. Yet it’s also cleared up a lot of confusion and set the stage for what I hope will be a more focused direction in 2009.
There’s a lot less wiggle room right now but that brings with it the excitement of battening down the hatches and seeing who’s floating face down when next we come up for air!
