Definitive Jux Presents Time Travel (Vol. 1)

Definitive Jux Presents Time Travel (Vol. 1) is due April 14th on Definitive Jux where a preview is said to await but, as has often been the case with their site, I can’t find it.

Perhaps I wasn’t looking hard enough but, then again, should I really have to?

In any case, you can check out Company Flow’s Population Control (1997) from what looks like a great compilation album.

Can’t figure out what’s going on with Def Jux; they went from putting out album after album that each had the “backpackers” in joyous glee (2001-2003); to basically – not doing anything. I guess they’re making a living off their catalog.

  3. Clyde Smith says:

It’s hard to stay on the cutting edge but they definitely had a nice run there for awhile. I wouldn’t say they’re “not doing anything” but after breaking such new ground they definitely have pulled back a bit.
