Google Chrome OS: Meet the New Boss
I don't cover a lot of straight up tech news but Google's "introduction" of their impending Chrome OS, initially targeted to netbooks, is kind of a big deal.
On the one hand, I don't trust Google or their long term plans for world web domination. On the other, I've hated Microsoft for so long and the thought of having a decent alternative to Windows running on those cool new netbooks is a pleasant one.
At least we now have an overseer that understands online security. I can work with that as long as embedding the Chrome Mental Monitor in my brainstem remains optional!

I hope Google stick by their motto to do no evil. They are getting very powerful now.
About time someone challenged Microsoft.

I'm glad to see Microsoft being challenged but the problem with such mottos as "do no evil" starts to show up when people find justification to do whatever it is they need to do, i.e., who defines evil, the slave or the slave master?
