Tanya Morgan hits my hometown of Raleigh, NC tonight in a brief run in support of their album Brooklynati and I think I'll be checking them out.

Kooley High - Kooley Is High (prod. by Dela)

Raleighwood's own Kooley High is an opening act. You know, when bloggers were posting the Kooley Is High video, I wonder how many were thinking, "Wow, Southern hip hop!"

The evening is also a Kooley High members' album release party for Tab-One's Tabloids and Charlie Smarts' f'alex.

Blount Harvey 2009 HD Promo

Greenville, NC's Blount Harvey opens the show with their mix of "hip hop, funk, soul, jazz, all that".

Action begins around 10 tonight at the Pour House in Raleigh, NC.

DJ Am Passes

DJ AM was found dead yesterday. His widespread celebrity circle led to a variety of Twitter responses indicating how highly DJ AM was held in esteem.

Oddly enough, Crazy Town, with whom DJ AM became well known, held a reunion concert without DJ Am earlier this week.
