Kam Moye aka Supastition - Splitting Image
I started the day with Virginia rappers The Clipse and am ending it with North Carolina rapper Kam Moye, aka Supastition, whose album Splitting Image is due October 27th.
Supastition was the first rapper I met via the web after starting NC Hip Hop Online. That project began with Greensboro artists I was interviewing and then became my first website. This was in the days before MySpace and many artists, such as Little Brother, had websites but the only contact point was the webmaster.
Never got a response from any of those cats but Supastition kept on eye on his page, now outdated, and dropped me a line every now and then so, though that's been awhile, it makes me particularly happy to see him getting wider attention after many years of struggle.
From MySpace:
"The rebirth of an artist with a new state of mind, Kam Moye delivers his first album, Splitting Image, under his government name. Includes the singles Let’s Be Honest, Hello Karma, and Splitting Image. Production by Jake One, Vitamin D, Khrysis, M-Phazes, Marco Polo, D.R., Veterano, and more. Guests include Phonte, One Be Lo, Zion I, Ayah, and much more."
