Rhyme Animal, a series that is combining live-action and animation to create a compelling and unique thriller about a hip-hop artist, who may also be a cannibalistic serial killer has already received numerous accolades across the festival circuit as well as a “Best Web Drama” nomination from leading site Clicker.com and “Best Web Horror” nomination by Indieintertube.
This award winning hip-hop thriller returns to the big screen at this year’s second annual Los Angeles Web Festival on Saturday, March 26. Created by filmmaker Jorge Rivera (co-written with Aaron F. Schnore and Billy Fox), the independent web drama tells the gripping story of an ambitious hip-hop DJ who rides the coattails of an up-and-coming rapper–a rapper who might also be a cannibalistic serial killer.
Rhyme Animal is beginning to capture the attention of the independent television and web series industry since its online debut on Koldcast.TV and a national festival run, including the Independent Television Festival, the New York Television Festival and the Mid-Atlantic Black Film Festival. In addition, the series continues to receive numerous accolades, including “Best of” nominations by entertainment sites Clicker.com and Indieintertube.tv and a “Best Web Series” award at the Mid-Atlantic Black Film Festival.
