But Pusha spit a gang of verses to my beats, so did Big Sean, Kanye, and John Legend.” He added: “I know Marsha got on a couple of my beats and did some hook ideas. We were all just bouncing stuff around. Mannie Fresh actually had the room next to the room I was working in. We were bouncing ideas. T.I. Talks about New Album—Calls Some Records “Intellectually Ignorant”

T.I.

T.I. says that “Trouble Man,” his new album, will focus on how he’s moving on after life in prison.

T.I. has been working hard for the completion of his new album titled “Trouble Man,” which is expected to be released on February 2012. According to the American hip hop artist, this compilation mostly features songs that address his post-prison disposition and mindset. Tip explained as he spoke with MTV News how “intellectually arrogant” most of the new songs are, and how the topics shifted after he was released from jail.

T.I. shared that the lyrics to his music are inspired by his own life at all times. Thus, when he first came home from prison, he had about 15 songs that were entirely dedicated to that event. He also added that out of those 15 songs, he chose two or three that he has seen as most significant, competitive and impactful. Moreover, as he moved out of prison, he came up with records that focus on speaking to people, who, according to T.I., “can only focus on that [his life in prison and after] and telling them I’m ready to move on. So I got X amount of songs about that.”

T.I. also shared the explanation behind the album title “Trouble Man.” According to him, this album serves as a nod to his past while telling how he’s working hard to move on from it. As he quipped, the name of the album and the songs in it are “about things that can get me in trouble, reminiscing on the days where I used to run wild and do my thing the way I used to do it.” From this statement, he added that he has records “that’s just totally intellectually ignorant.”

50 Cnet

With the advent of the latest technology and social media, many hip-hop artists found interesting ways to share their music to their fans. That’s why many rappers gained popularity in the Internet with their projects such as mixtapes and websites.

In the case of Curtis James Jackson III, otherwise known as 50 Cent, he used social media to reach out to his fans and provide updates on his promising career. The American rapper recently announced the release of a 10 track project. The material is slated to be released next week. Since the project featured many collections of tracks, fans of the famed rapper were ecstatic about the recent announcement by 50 Cent.

The “Guess Who’s Back?” singer took to Twitter to disclose the said hip-hop material, which will be launched in honor of the 10 year anniversary of his first mixtape “50 Cent is the Future”. He also revealed that he will be shooting a video for every track included in the collection. He posted at Twitter: “Its been 10 years since I put out 50cent is the future. So I’m putting out the BIG 10 next week 10 smoking hot tracks #SK.” He added: “I’m shooting videos for every song on the tape. The BIG 10 I got something for a haters ass it called hits lol #SK”.

The famed talented performer also talked about his fifth album, which was delayed for so long. In a series of tweets, he informed his fans before that the cause of the delay pertains to him and his label Interscope Records that can’t decide on how to roll out the album. In the recent interview, he mentioned that it will be released in December even though the project is currently without a release date.

Dessa Opens Up On Recent Success

Dessa

Dessa, otherwise known as Dessa Darling, is a well-known member of the Doomtree Hip-Hop Collective. For nearly a decade, she emerged in the groundwork scene with her talent and love of music. However, she is recently breaking into the mainstream with her successful career.

The Minneapolis singer recently opens up on her success in the music world. She just concluded her first headlining national tour after scoring a Top 200 debut for her latest album, “Castor” and “The Twin.” Earlier this week, she released the album “No Kings” with P.O.S. and Cecil Otter, Sims and others from her group Doomtree.

In an interview with HipHopDX last month in Philadelphia, Dessa talks about her new solo album “No Kings” project and her relationship with Hip Hop. When the DX Interviewer asked the emerging artist, “The easiest most tangible example I can think of is Eric Clapton’s song “Layla.” When he first did it, it had a different tone or meaning than when he did it later, acoustically. Both times it was very popular. Did you feel anything like that, where the songs took on different meaning?”, she cheerfully answered to the question. She explained: “A couple of them did. I think “Palace” was a song when I initially recorded that did seem kind of timely. It was a lighter song but it wasn’t a party drag.”

Dessa Darling was also asked on her thoughts about breaking into mainstream music. She stated: “I think the approach has worked for Doomtree. That approach is just really slow. It’s like trying to build a label through a chain letter, it’s just slow to spread.” She added: “Even if everybody does their parts and tell their friends, there’s this kind of exponential growth curve which stays flat for a long time before it starts pulling up and becoming something closer to vertical lines.”

Machete Vision Album: CunninLynguists’s Kno and MarQ Spekt Joint Project

Cunninlynguists
We know that CunninLynguists is a hot hip-hop organization which was once described by Pitchfork Media as “a solid, accessible debut, filled with clever rhymes and tremendously consistent production.” One of their successful projects caused M.F. DiBella of AllMusic to give an inspiring comment, “a lyrical deftness and genuine feel for the music rarely seen in the bling-conscious rap of the latter-day era.” The hip-hop trio from Lexington, Kentucky and Atlanta, Georgia is still getting rave reviews these days with the materials worked on by co-founder Kno.

Kno, who hails from Georgia and currently resides in Atlanta has been dubbed as “one of the top loop-miners east of Mississipi” by URB Magazine. He recently announced that he will be partnering with MarQ Spekt to drop an October 25 material, “Machete Vision”. The producer, deejay and emcee who released “Oneirology” earlier this year, has disclosed that the project features Action Bronson, Meyhem Lauren and Deacon The Villain, among others.

The press release intended for the album stated: “From the rubble of a post-apocalyptic Hip-Hop landscape littered with bloodied man-purses and tattered skinny jeans, two men emerge as the law in a lawless land. Armed only with battle-worn machetes and gritty instrumentals, MarQ Spekt & Kno of CunninLynguists will descend upon The Temple of Auto-Tune on October 25th to lead one final push in eliminating the remaining scourge and returning high-minded filth to its rightful place in the Pantheon of Rap.”

The album tracks are as follows:

01. Machete Vision (Intro)
02. Roadhouse ft. Action Bronson
03. Top Back ft. Deacon The Villain
04. All Smiles (Plastic Mask)

Common Discusses His Upcoming Memoir

Common

The famed rapper Common, previously known as Common Sense, opens up on his autobiography, his latest project. He discussed the importance of the said material and how he feels about it.

In a recent interview with the Chicago Sun-Times, the well-known Hip-Hop artist and actor shared the meaning of his upcoming memoir, One Day It’ll Make Sense. He said: “It’s about the evolution of a young man growing into manhood. It’s about love relationships, not only on a romantic level but love for the art you’re doing, music and acting, love for my mother, my daughter.” He added, “And, of course, Chicago. It’s not only the backdrop on the cover, it’s the backdrop of my life.”

The “Love of My Life (An Ode to Hip Hop)” performer admitted that the book talks about his past. With reference to a departure from his “conscious” side, he explained that the memoir would describe him a bit of a different light for fans to know his real self away from the limelight. He stated: “I think we have a very true, authentic, warm sense about us coming from Chicago. There’s also some grit and rawness and ruggedness that exists, too. That comes out in things I’ve done. Some of those incidents I talk about where I got into fights, some street things I was involved in — it’s part of Chicago life, it’s part of me.”

The prominent rapper also gave light to the purpose of the project: a chance to see a myriad of aspects that make a man, such as sense of self, who you are, things you want in life, things you love and what your values are. But all these, according to Common, are linked to one’s responsibility as a person.
