“Secret Societies in Pop Culture” Part 2 on Flow of Wisdom Radio

The return of two controversial guests has set the precedent for another highly anticipated episode of the syndicated talk show Flow of Wisdom Radio, hosted by Sean Anthony The Hip-Hop Motivator. The second installment of the topic “Secret Societies in Pop Culture,” featuring the bright young YouTube sensation YungN and tenured conspiracy researcher Steve Cokely, will air live on WCDX iPower 92.1 Richmond, VA this Sunday and broadcast again on WYTT 95.5 Jamz Roanoke Rapids, NC next week.

The original July 10th episode caused a spur of listeners to voice their outrage over the intentional subliminal messages embedded within movies, music, literature and other entertainment. Hundreds of calls, Facebook and twitter comments, and emails flooded the channels at Flow of Wisdom Radio, inquiring for more information on the issue. The interest created a large ripple in the movement to expose groups such as the Boule, Illuminati, Rhodes Rothschild, Trilateral Commission, and others.

YouTube documentarian, YungN will kick off the show on Sunday with a more in-depth look at hip hop’s surrender to these secret societies. He is committed to revealing the ulterior motives of the interest groups behind hip hop music, a culture he is closely familiar with. YungN shares further insight on his YouTube channel ThisIsYungNTV, which has received more than 2 million views since its conception about a year ago.

Accredited Researcher Steve Cokely will also return to offer his perspective on why secret societies desire to control the media and entertainment. Mr. Cokely has spoken up about the infrastructure of several secret groups and assassination conspiracies. Because of his experiences in American politics and his comprehensive knowledge of conspiracies, his live lectures have been effective courses of education nationwide.

Steve Cokely and YungN are valuable sources of information for this Sunday’s episode. You do not want to miss a moment of Part Two of “Secret Societies in Pop Culture” on Flow of Wisdom Radio! Listeners are encouraged to call in live at (804) 345-9236 between 9am and 10am EST or comment online @sean_anthony on Twitter or on the Sean Anthony The Hip-Hop Motivator Facebook fan page.

Sean Anthony The Hip Hop Motivator Hosts the Flow of Wisdom Radio to Feature Renown Researcher Steve Cokely on “Secret Societies in Pop Culture”

Syndicated talk radio host, Sean Anthony will feature at least two controversial guests on “Secret Societies in Pop Culture.” Former Chicago mayoral aide and conspiracy researcher Steve Cokely is most notably recognized for his Anti-Semitic remarks on CNN and his series of lectures about the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Also appearing on the show is Virginia recording artist and documentarian YungN, the founder of ThisIsYungNTV, a YouTube channel with over 1.5 million views. The talk show episode will air live Sunday at 9am on iPowerRichmond.com and WCDX iPower 92.1.

A wave of “awakened” citizens has posted hundreds of internet videos aiming to expose these “secret societies” like the infamous Illuminati, an ancient cult that allegedly controls the distribution of wealth on our planet among other aspects of establishing a single global order. YungN’s videos are dedicated to revealing hidden satanic messages in today’s most popular hip hop songs by decoding lyrics performed by artists such as Beyonce, Jay-Z, Drake, and Lil Wayne.

Years ago, Steve Cokely unmasked another secretive group of elite black men called The Boule’ and their history of influence over black culture. Cokely continues to be forthright about the negative symbolisms that this “Black Hollywood” displays in today’s music and film in order to “protect an agenda [even] higher than themselves”.

The Flow of Wisdom Radio episode will certainly add a new spark for the conspiracy theory dialectic. Who can accept the idea that a small number of individuals have ruled our society for centuries by masterminding subliminal messages which we absorb through popular culture? Sean Anthony laments, “It truly is a war for your mind. Whether or not people will allow themselves to be slaves to these secret societies is up to them; but first, we must make people aware of what’s going on.”

Hip-Hop Lives Online Radio (HHLO.net) Debuts First Show “Show Name” Hosted by DJ Prince on SDWorldVision.com

Hip-Hop Lives Online (HHLO.net) joins the ranks of Street Disciplez Radio on SDWorldVision.com with their first live radio show hosted by DJ Prince, on Thursday June 30, 2011 from 8 – 9 pm (EST). The show, Heat Rock Radio, will feature music from independent artists as well as a weekly website feature run-down, and special in-studio and call in interviews.

HHLO.net owner, Jen Marah, is ecstatic about the new venture stating, “We’ve been waiting for the perfect opportunity to launch our first online radio show. DJ Prince has a great ear for the music and artists that HHLO.net feels should be supported and promoted by the hip-hop community, and our long-standing relationship with SD Radio created the perfect combination for me to finally give the green light! HHLO.net has been blessed with wonderful syndication opportunities from the very beginnings of the site in 2008 with being a select few sites on the SOHH.com Syndicate as well as being included in the MOG Music Network. HHLO.net Radio will have the opportunity to be seen by millions of hip-hop heads daily. It would be silly not to move at this time.”

Host DJ Prince is no newbie to the game either; he currently stands behind hip-hop artist Skyzoo as his live DJ, produces, and artist manager. He joins the ranks of HHLO.net alum that now grace the airways of the SD World Vision Studio in Brooklyn, New York.

Mixtape Massacre Pays Homage to the Architects

Mixtape Massacre, the show that has filled the popular 1-4pm slot on Canada’s CKLN 88.1FM for almost 7 years, will pay homage to the heavy-hitters that laid the foundation for hip-hop in Toronto, in what may be its last broadcast this Saturday, February 12th. DJ Big Jacks and Linx, alongside host Seven:30 have reached out to predecessors and pioneers The Real Frequency (Musiklee Inzane, P-Plus and Arcee), and DJ X of The PowerMove Show to be a part of this Saturday’s broadcast. Mixtape Massacre has also reached out to Ron Nelson, an iconic figure in Toronto hip-hop, to be a part of the broadcast. Each guest will present 1 full hour dedicated to the era they represented in hip-hop over the past 20+ years.

In the early 1980s, Toronto hip-hop was in its infancy, but it took the drive of Ron Nelson, who not only volunteered on the airwaves to introduce rap music to the city via the Fantastic Voyage show, but also as a promoter, bringing several acts from New York to Toronto. DJ X of the PowerMove Show followed suit throughout the mid-to-late 90s, influencing another generation fans, and introducing them to freestyle segments like Eat the Beat, and events such as Live @ The BBQ. The Real Frequency inherited the spot after leaving their longtime home at CHRY 105.5FM in 2001. The move proved to be a wise one, as they were scooped up by FLOW 93.5 to become the first underground show to be represented on commercial radio. Mixtape Massacre, who have been the programmers of the coveted Saturday afternoon spot since 2004, earned it in a contest, voted on by the public.

Tune in to CKLN 88.1FM on Saturday, February 12th to join this monumental moment in the Canadian radio history.

Palladium Boots: Exploration #6 – London Pirate Radio

Exploration #6 – London Pirate Radio

Palladium Boots is posting a lot of cool content on its site. I would love to know how this is working for them as a marketing move but, for the moment, I’m just digging the above update on London’s pirate radio movement, one of Palladium Boots’ Explorations.

They’ve also got an interesting looking blog.

They caught my attention anyway!

Danyel Smith Talks VIBE w/Angela Yee

Danyel Smith, with Elliott Wilson as sidekick, talks to Angela Yee a bit about the VIBE closure without revealing anything at all of substance other than that she's a great corporate hire. Perfect for fans of Danyelliott who need a positive energy fix but that's about it.

Note: Regarding Danyelliott and stepping back from the publishing scene, this is the first time I've heard them speaking together and I think they'd make a great radio team.

T.I. Boots Alfamega, Hot 107.9 Drops Ball, NY Runs With It

T.I. kicks Alfamega out of Grand Hustle for his government snitchery and announces it during a radio show on Atlanta's Hot 107.9.

IllRoots has the audio and, generally speaking, Hot 107.9's getting name checked all over the place but no links cause they don't seem to have this available online.

Learn to blog, y'all!  Otherwise New York will keep stealing your thunder cause big NY media is now linking regularly to big NY blogs covering news from other locales.

This is no attack on New York but recognition that web democracy is failing as NY media closes rank and allies with NY bloggers.  Learn to build regionally or remain weed carriers.

Note: Gyant Unplugged, an Atlanta-based blogger, also has audio.

Update: I know mentioning "web democracy" will seem a bit overdone but, to me, true democracy spreads power out evenly rather than simply broadcasting from centers of power to the margins.  However, if you're not involved, you don't get democracy and that goes for web media in forms that people actually use as well.

Atlanta should be a hip hop media powerhouse by now so why isn't it?  Atlanta media hasn't run with the ball their artists gave them.

On a related note, there's also an emerging trend of mainstream media on the web shifting from name checking web sources to linking out and that's where I see certain patterns emerging.  No doubt I will have opportunity to return to this topic and we'll see if things are going where I think they're going in relationship to hip hop and the media.

Original Sugarhill Gang Celebrates 30th Anniversary of Rappers Delight with WFAN

Though Rapper's Delight was not the "original hip hop and rap music release", as the above press release claims, it was the single that introduced myself and so many others to the existence of hip hop.

Radio One Shares Tanking

When your stock’s doing poorly and a sudden financial crisis hits, your stock tanks, and that’s what’s happened to Radio One, though some of the effects have been delayed.

In August, Radio One announced a second-quarter loss of $11.7 million.

At that time, Radio One’s Class A stock, ROIA, had dropped to around $1 from the previous year’s $4 and up and has continued to drop since then closing today at 79 cents.

Radio One’s Class D stock, ROIAK, has dropped even further over the last 3 months from around $1 to under 10 cents.

The final blow bringing the Class D stock to its knees was the removal from Standard & Poor’s SmallCap 600 index causing a sell-off by fund managers of around 6 million shares, a form of cascade failure that will be quite challenging from which to recover.

Late last month Radio One received a warning from the Nasdaq regarding possible delisting, though such a move has been suspended until next year due to the current financial crisis.

For Great Web Radio: taintradio.org

If you’re into jazz and "related" music, I’d recommend checking out taintradio.org.

I’ve mostly heard jazz and world music but they program lots of stuff.  Basically it’s a bunch of smart indie djs who play what they want.

I think they’ve got some kind of opposition to marketing and related concerns, yet they still desire an audience, so, since they do nice work, please consider checking them out.

But if you leave a comment, pretend like you stumbled upon the site while searching for a podcast of Jimi Hendrix improvising by a campfire in Romania and Bob will be much happier than if you tell him I "publicized" it.  Ooh, gross!
